Our Occupational Therapy Services

We focus on real-world outcomes. Each service below combines practical strategies, hands-on coaching, and simple tools you can keep using every day.

Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)

A structured OT assessment that describes how you manage everyday tasks and the supports you need to work towards your goals.
Delivered in your home or community, the FCA covers self-care, household tasks, mobility and transfers, cognition and communication, sensory/environment factors, community access, and participation.
You receive a clear, goal-aligned report suitable for plan reviews, with practical recommendations and (where required) assistive technology or environmental changes.

Assistive Technology (AT): Advice, Trials & Training

Home Modifications (When Your Environment Needs to Change)

Sometimes the fastest way to make daily tasks safer and simpler is to adapt the space itself. When we see barriers during OT sessions. Slippery bathrooms, hard-to-reach storage, tight doorways, unsafe steps. we may recommend Home Modifications alongside therapy and Assistive Technology.

For the build process itself, see our NDIS Home Modifications page.

How does Occupational Therapy work under the NDIS?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a capacity-building support that helps you work towards your NDIS plan goals. Here’s how it typically works:

Enquiry & access

You (or your Support Coordinator) contact us with your goals and plan details. We support NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants. We can also assist you with this if needed.

OT assessment

One of our Occupational Therapists meets you at home, in our office, in the community, or via telehealth to understand routines, strengths and barriers (e.g., self-care, kitchen tasks, mobility, cognition, sensory factors, community access).

Goals & plan alignment

We translate your priorities into clear goals and a therapy plan that fits your schedule. OT sessions are usually funded from Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living (your plan may also include Assistive Technology or Home Modifications where appropriate).

Documentation & reviews

We keep concise notes and, when required, provide reports to support plan reviews and help demonstrate progress towards goals.

Team approach

With your consent, we collaborate with your Support Coordinator, plan manager and other providers to keep supports consistent and effective.
